Autumn Leaves StoryboxPast Pieces
“But I miss you most of all, my darling, when autumn leaves start to fall”. This is a rather fitting storybox for the Autumn time of year, and features the lyrics of this song, which are very personal to me. It is set inside a vintage mint green (same colour as the girl’s dress) 1950’s tin. The beautiful fabrics are small pieces of antique quilt, c. 1900. The tree I have formed from vintage twine, and the leaves blowing in the wind are painted metal, from a 1950’s necklace. The girl sitting sadly at the bottom of the tree is a pre-war painted metal toy figure (possibly lead). When full open, this storybox measures 23cm wide by 14cm tall.
Autumn Leaves is £165 plus postage.
