“Dear Little Duck” Storybox £95Latest Pieces for Sale
“D was a duck, with spots on his back, who lived in the water and always said “quack” ….. Dear little duck.” This delightful little hanging storybox is set inside a beautiful oval vintage tin lid from the 1930’s, which hangs on wire. Inside are two 1930’s embroidered adorable little teal ducks. The poem is by Edward Lear. It is an extract from The Nonsense Alphabet. Some is printed, some I have wire-sculpted. The block letters are Victorian governess letters, I think made of some kind of compound paper and varnish. Below it hangs a fragment of vintage wooden ruler, with the end of the poem verse printed on it.
It will be £95.
Please note that my sculptures are not suitable for children.
