Little Twit, Owl Storybox

Past Pieces

Little Twit is now looking for a new home, if you would like to offer him one!
Twit lives inside a vintage, 1930’s tin. Quite frankly, that is possibly why he is a bit of a twit, but there you go. There is a leaf growing out of the top, which is an antique French copper stamping, made by hand in the early 1900’s by a Parisian atelier called Framex. The inside of the tin houses a little fragment of a 1920’s embroidery, and the word “twit”, which I sculpted from wire. Little Twit himself is a rare 1930’s metal painted (lead?) toy figure. The tin stands upon little yellow wooden feet, which were originally vintage abacus beads. The whole storybox, when closed, measures 10cm long x 3cm wide x 11cm high (to top of leaf).
