“Take a Peep” Storybox (green), £225

Past Pieces

“Take a Peep” Storybox. It’s a little naughty, but in a fun, “Carry on” movie way I hope! It’s a beautiful hanging 1930’s tin, in a lush green, cut with a keyhole shape! The Victorian governess card letters read “Turn me on & Take a peep” …… of course meaning for you to flick the on/off switch you can see at the top!!! When you do turn it on, it illuminates inside, to reveal a scantily clad young lady, in a state of undress!!!! (How naughty!) It is best viewed in the dark, for obvious reasons! The young lady is c.1940’s/50’s, and above her I have sculpted the phrase “bottoms up” out of wire. This storybox measures approximately 30.5cm x 15.5cm, not including the vintage chain it hangs from. It is £225.
