“Forever Love”, Storybox Sculpture
“Forever Love” Storybox Sculpture is set in the most divine 1920’s celluloid heart box, which sits on Georgian, late 1700’s carved bone feet, which were originally pieces from a chess set.
The background is an unbelievably fluffy velvet like fabric fragment, originally part of an antique crazy patchwork bedspread, which was made from fabrics from the mid 1700’s to mid 1800’s.
The two tiny elephants are bovine bone, and are Victorian, from the late 1800’s. They were originally parts of necklaces. The heart is a tiny enamelled baby pink necklace charm from the 1950’s. The word “forever” is sculpted from gold wire.
This is a one-off piece so it can’t be replicated as there are too many rare parts.
It is approximately 7cm tall x 6cm wide x 5cm deep.
This has been made with repurposed vintage materials, which may show signs of being timeworn.
