Set inside a vintage 1940’s tin, the backing fabrics are all antique and vintage silks and lace, in the most beautifully subtle pinks and creams. The Roses are ribbon-embroidered from hand-dyed ombre silk, and hand-embroidered. The “Mother” centrepiece is an early 1900’s mother of pearl and metal brooch.
The quote is from the poem “To my Mother”, by Robert Louis Stevenson, and is typewritten on to strip of vintage 1950’s cotton.
