“Still I Rise” is a brush sculpture incorporating a wonderful vintage industrial looking upturned little brush, reimagined as a field.
There is a tiny bird flying above and a miniature spray of poppies amongst the grass, which are handmade from wire and paint.
“Still I rise” is stamped on to vintage tin, eluding to the Maya Angelou poem of the same name.
Measures approximately 12cm x 8cm x 1cm.
This has been made with repurposed vintage materials, which may show signs of being timeworn.
